When Is The Best Time To Take Vitamins?

Do you know at what time of the day should you take your vitamins? Is there a good time or a bad time?

Many of us rely on dietary supplements to make sure that we receive the proper amount of vitamins and minerals. Many of us also wonder, though, what time of day we should take our vitamins.

There is no clear-cut answer to this question.

You should take your vitamins and minerals whenever it’s most convenient for you.

you prefer to take your dietary supplements first thing in the morning, take them then. If you’d rather take them at the end of the day, that’s fine, too.

The key is to get into a regular routine. Whenever you do choose to take your vitamins and minerals, it’s best to take them at that same time every day.

That way, you’re less likely to forget to take them. As with all things in life, it’s easy to stick with something if you follow a strict schedule.

Of course, there are some quirks with certain dietary supplements that may influence when you do or don’t take them. For instance, some vitamins or minerals may need to be taken in separate doses during the day.

If that is the case with one of your dietary supplements, make sure to follow the directions on the label carefully. You’ll have to adjust whatever schedule you have to accommodate the supplement.

Other dietary supplements should be taken with other food to avoid making you feel nauseated after you take them. Again, this can influence when you take these vitamins or minerals.

Certain supplements do come with specific instructions on when they should and should not be taken.

For instance, calcium carbonate should always be taken immediately after a meal. Otherwise, you run the risk of feeling sick to your stomach after taking this dietary supplement.

There are other supplements, though, that should only be taken when you haven’t eaten. An example of this is iron supplements. You should only take these supplements on an empty stomach. If you don’t follow this advice, you could get sick to your stomach.

Other supplements should be taken with food by certain people, while others can take them at any time of the day. B-complex vitamins fall into this category.

Some people feel a bit sick if they take these vitamins without food. Others feel fine. Do what works best for you.

Finally, never, ever take vitamins with alcohol. This is a potentially dangerous combination!

When you take vitamins or minerals, the time of day isn’t nearly as important as is making sure you’re taking the right supplements.
